How to choose a right power adapter for the product?

Before choosing a power adapter, the user must first determine three Adaptation conditions.

  1. The adapter DC interface should be matched to the device. Do not plug in mismatched interfaces without professional knowledge, otherwise it will be dangerous.
  2. The input voltage should be the same as the rated input voltage of the load, or within the voltage range that the load can withstand. Otherwise, it may burn the load. If the voltage is insufficient, the load cannot be driven and the battery cannot be charged properly.
  3. The output current of the power adapter should be equal to or larger than the current of the load to provide sufficient power. Why do you need such a current configuration?   The power supply has internal resistance, and the greater the internal resistance, the greater the loss.   Therefore, when the manufacturer produces adapter, they will determine the no-load output voltage in a certain range per the position size, and the current critical value corresponding to the voltage is the current nominal value we see.   So choosing an adapter with a slightly higher current won’t hurt the battery and will make charging faster.
